Motto for the 2011 Crusade:
"If a task is once begun, never leave it 'till
it's done.
Be the task large or small, DO IT WELL...or not
at all."
TO THE SIR KNIGHTS of the COUNTRY OF TEXAS:
Words have yet to be invented that can best convey my
heartfelt thanks for your support in my election to the highest responsible
office for Templar Masonry in Texas.
I am most humbled.
As I assume the
reins of the Lone Star Grand Commandery from my predecessor, Sir Tony Moore,
Grand Commander-Emeritus, I challenge all Texas Sir Knights to unite with me in
doing the following:
1.
Rededicate yourself to the
Order by revisiting your obligation in the ritual.
2.
Refresh your level of
commitment to your Commandery.
3.
Receive the motto for this
Crusade as your personal motto.
Each year, we come together in Grand Conclave to receive
instruction, hear our marching orders, make pertinent decisions that shape the
direction of the Grand Commandery, celebrate our successes, and reevaluate our
failures.
Then we take all we
gleaned from this session and disperse ourselves back to our constituent
Commanderies with a renewed sense of purpose to make our Commanderies better.
This "Crusade" should have a purpose, and I invite you all to share my
motto as your own for this year's Crusade.
As all leaders should, I have great plans for our beloved
Grand Commandery.
The elected and
appointed officers are ready to serve you in any way possible.
Check this website regularly because I plan to post general memos and
Orders to the site, as well as other information.
Many of these plans will be introduced at our annual workshop in July, to
which all Sir Knights are encouraged to attend.
Until we meet again, let me remind you to "Rededicate, Refresh, and
Receive."
May God be with you all
during this Crusade.
IHSV
Sir Ronald D. Gerac
Right Eminent Grand Commander
